Criminal Forensic Evaluations

Criminal forensic evaluations are focused psychological assessments designed to aid courts and legal counsel in criminal cases. Forensic evaluations can be used by courts to address legal issues such as competency to stand trial, criminal responsibility, competency to waive Miranda rights, risk for violence, and sentencing, among other things. We conduct the criminal forensic evaluations listed below when requested by legal counsel or ordered by the Court. These evaluations include a thorough clinical interview, comprehensive review of records, case law, collateral data, and psychological tests. At this time, we are only able to provide expert witness services in criminal cases pending in federal courts.

  • Federal pretrial competency and criminal responsibility assessments

  • Federal sentencing mitigation & aggravation assessments

  • Other criminal competency assessment

  • Risk assessment

  • Malingering assessment
